Analysts predict that the wastepaper market will only grow over time. Consumption volumes are rising, meaning paper products will be in high demand. Cardboard packaging, in particular, is currently in high demand among manufacturers. Various products are delivered to stores in such packaging. Packaging is also used, for example, for gift wrapping at the private sector. As a result, a significant amount of wastepaper is generated, which is sent to recycling plants, where it is successfully converted into material suitable for new production.
However, it should be noted that a number of measures are being taken worldwide to reduce the volume of paper waste generated. Specifically, efforts are being made, for example, to transition from paper to electronic reporting. There are even proposals in healthcare. Doctors, for example, use a lot of paper. Paper use needs to be reduced, even by doctors, to reduce the volume of waste paper generated, including OCC 12. However, analysts are most likely correct regarding the growth of recycled paper. Paper, even after recycling, is in high demand. We need to be prepared to address the subsequent problem: more effectively collecting and recycling used paper to keep it out of landfills.
