The United States plans to significantly increase recycling volumes by 2031. News reports indicate the increase will be over 2.5 percent annually. Moreover, the entire American wastepaper market, including 12 OCC cardboard, will grow at a similar rate. Plans include developing a closed-loop system in which waste is sent for recycling and then returned to production, where new products are made from the recycled waste. It’s worth noting that demand for such products is growing year after year, worldwide. Americans aren’t alone in realizing the need to increase recycling volumes and implement the aforementioned system. Canada also has plans to develop the wastepaper market.

It’s worth noting that the United States is one of the developed countries concerned about the generation and management of secondary raw materials. Other countries are also undertaking extensive work to address the so-called waste problem. But, unfortunately, there are countries that don’t even think about waste at all. And even if they do consider it, local authorities are failing to make significant progress in solving the waste problem. We work in this industry and understand the global situation. However, we do everything possible to ensure the secondary raw materials market grows and the recycling situation finds a logical, sustainable solution.
